The SNPRC i s one of the seven nationally funded primate research centers. Between 201 8-2023\, Dr. Kaushal oversaw the SNPRC operations\, a ~ $40 million NIH-fu nded national resource for primate research\, as its Director. During this time\, the SNPRC added 25% more faculty\, 75% more extramural funding\, a nd 25% more research NHP resources. At this time\, Dr. Kaushal serves as the Senior Advisor to the current SNPRC Director. Dr. Kaushal is principa l investigator on multiple NIH-funded grants and is co-investigator of sev eral other NIH grants.
