Jeffrey A. Tornheim, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a TB clinician at the Baltimore City Health Department. His research explores the application of new diagnostic technologies including bacterial next generation sequencing, multiomic host biomarkers, and both individual- and population-level pharmacologic assessments to improved health outcomes in the treatment of drug resistant tuberculosis among both adult and pediatric patients. His active projects include cohort studies of people with drug-resistant tuberculosis in India and South Africa.
