Dr. Mark Marzinke is Professor of Pathology and Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  He serves as the Director of Main Chemistry within the Johns Hopkins Hospital Core Laboratories, as well as the Clinical Pharmacology Analytical Laboratory within the Division of Clinical Pharmacology.  Dr. Marzinke also serves as the leader of the Clinical Laboratory Core for the Johns Hopkins Center for AIDS Research and Co-Director of the Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Core within the TB Research & Advancement Center. His primary research interests are in the areas of antiretroviral pharmacology, HIV prevention science, pharmacogenetics, mass spectrometry, and laboratory automation. Dr. Marzinke has an active research program and serves as a principal investigator (PI) or co-investigator on several grants.  He has collaborated on research to better characterize the multi-compartment pharmacology of antiretroviral agents when administered using alternative drug delivery systems.  He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, and holds leadership positions in several societies.
