Dr. Heysell’s research group focuses on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics to improve treatment outcomes in patients with mycobacterial diseases or with comorbid HIV, diabetes, and/or malnutrition. Consequent secondary areas of interest include the development of laboratory assays for pharmacodynamics studies, the building of infrastructure and expertise for community-based research in tuberculosis-endemic settings, and clinical trials of tuberculosis drug regimens.
The October TRAC Seminar Series is presented by the Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics Core.
