The weekly Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center (TRAC) Seminar Series is held on Thursdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM ET. This week’s seminar is virtual only, we will not meet in-person.
“Urine Xpert Ultra for tuberculosis diagnosis in people with HIV”
Bianca Sossen, MBChB, MSc
Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Cape Town
Bianca is a research medical officer and Fogarty PhD fellow at the University of Cape Town. After her MBChB, she completed an MSc in The Control of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, supported by a Chevening scholarship. Since then she has worked as both a clinical MO within the Department of Medicine and as a research MO, working on or coordinating various observational studies and clinical trials, with a focus on diagnostics for HIV-TB and on the natural history of TB disease.
The March TRAC Seminar Series is presented by the Administrative and Developmental Cores.
